This piece of furniture was designed by QOOP to be used as a work table in an office space.
The intention of the design is to decompose the three basic elements of a table, the legs, the support frame and the surface. This was achieved by creating gaps in the connections of the elements, using improvised components and hidden joints.
The detachment of these elements highlights the simple geometry of the furniture, giving a visual lightness to the otherwise heavy table.
A 40/40/2mm section was used for the frame and legs and a 2mm black sheet for the surface. The bookcase is powder coated painted with clear matt varnish.
