In an office space located in the apartment buildings designed by the architect Alexandros Tombazis in Neo Psychiko, QOOP was asked to design from scratch a library that will be used to archive the company's files.

The folders are of different sizes, so it was chosen during its design to have the possibility of moving the shelves vertically to adapt to the changing filing requirements.

All the metal elements that make it up have been produced with laser cutting in order to have absolute precision and were designed in such a way that the welds are not visible.

The library consists of three columns that form the support bases of the shelves which are placed in the two intermediate parts of the columns. The form of the columns is inspired by the characteristic side view of the complex where there is an alternation in the depths of the exteriors and the projected spaces. The transfer of the large scale of the building to the small scale of a piece of furniture conceptually connects the exterior with the interior.

The notches formed in the projecting parts of the columns allow the exchange of the positions of the shelves which carry the corresponding notch in their support slats. Switching is achieved mechanically thanks to the precision of laser cutting without requiring any other action from the user.

Its design is a shelving system to which additional columns or shelves can be added at any time according to requirements.

5mm black sheet was used for the columns, 40/5mm sheets and 3mm black sheet for the shelves. The bookcase is powder coated painted with clear matt varnish.
