PLATE

Typology Table

Design and Fabrication QOOP METALWORKS

Qoop Curated

The PLATE table is created by very simple design gestures as the elements that make it up are the essentials, the surface and its support.

Its surface was made of 8 mm thick aluminum foil which, due to the special hardness of the alloy, is free from the need for a secondary support frame, achieving a comfort of use.

The three support legs are made of hexagonal steel profile. Due to their checkered geometry and the graduated shading resulting from the light, their volume is broken up and their radiant appearance is achieved, visually connecting them to the thin surface.

The paint, which contains metal grains, causes diffuse reflections and tonal gradations, making the object interact gently but dynamically with its surroundings.

Progressive changes in geometry, shadow and reflection define the object's identity.
