VAGIA INTERIOR
Alpha Vagia project
Within a residential complex located at Vagia beach on Serifos, Fotis Zapantiotis Associated Architects designed the staircase, the metal kitchen furniture, and the bathroom planter, all of which were fabricated by qoop.
The white kitchen furniture was fabricated from a solid 20x20mm section and a solid Φ10mm tube and was suspended from the ceiling. The connection between the tube and the square section was designed to avoid visible welds.
The black kitchen furniture was entirely constructed from a 4mm steel sheet, with all parts produced using a laser for on-site assembly due to its heavy weight.
The staircase was constructed from a 5mm steel sheet and supported by a concealed 10mm plate located to the right of the ascent. It was secured to the concrete basement using anchor bolts and chemical resin, following the preceding structural engineer's study.
The bathroom planter was constructed from an 8mm steel sheet for the perimeter pieces and a 5mm sheet for the base, where a crack and drainage were provided. The five pieces were assembled using stainless steel screws after a double electrostatic coating to protect all sides from oxidation.
